My name is Cinthia Nakamura and I am a tattoo artist from Brooklyn, NY!
Raised by a Japanese fashion designer mother, I grew up appreciating all forms of art, specifically tattoos. My mother’s traditional tattoos from the 90’s and my Japanese background inspired me to make my own version of traditional designs, which I like to call Kawaii Trads. Incorporating the boldness of traditional with the cuteness of Japanese pop/manga culture has truly inspired me as an artist.
The name Hafu Tattoos is my way of celebrating my Hafu Identity of being a Japanese and Puerto Rican artist thriving in New York City.
