Justin Shimrock was born and raised in Orange County, California. Drawing since he was two, he went to Orange County High School of the Performing Arts and worked hard to get into the Visual Arts program. After graduating, he pursued further education and a tattoo apprenticeship, eventually completing his apprenticeship and going on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Laguna College of Art and Design. Now, he does freelance illustration and animation while tattooing full time all over the USA but mostly at his original home in Orange County. His style has been developed and inspired by video games, American and Japanese animation, mascots, and traditional tattoo values. It is a unique type of bright color and illustrative cartoon with both unique characters and warped pop culture.
